Abstract

In a context of hyperspecialized scientific production, this essay seeks to reflect on scientific paradigms throughout history and up to the current context, in which the synthesis of knowledge is consolidated and presents itself as a trend in research. Therefore, it aims to relate Knowledge Synthesis to the fields of Health, Food, and Nutrition, proposing a historical review of the
scientific paradigms and discussing new scientific. Taking into consideration the initiatives in other fields of knowledge to form interdisciplinar groups looking for a synthesis, this work intends to contribute for the construction of proposals for the field of Health Nutrition.
