FLOW OF CONSCIOUSNESS AND KNOWING: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN PROJECTIVE THEORY AND THE K LINK IN BION
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the presentation of the concept of the extended domain of consciousness, in the field of projective theory, and proposing the model of flow of consciousness, Pereira Jr (2018) shows an opportunity for dialogue with other lines of study on consciousness, including psychoanalysis. This work investigates the bases and theories of the psychoanalyst Wilfred Bion about knowing, his foundations in the refutation of the canons of logical induction, and the characteristics of this phenomenon as a relationship and emotional experience of a living subject. The epistemological derivatives on this theorization are reviewed, involving the variations and fluctuations in the level of abstraction of the formulations, necessary to approach
reality. Then, a review is made of the concept of extended conscious domain, its theoretical and epistemological bases in the projective theory of consciousness, and the model of flow of consciousness proposed to observe the variation in the degree of self-awareness. During this review, a dialogue with the investigation of psychoanalytic theory presented is ensured, reiterating and enriching the bases for the flow of consciousness model.
