THE PROJECTIVE THEORY OF CONSCIOUSNESS AND THE THINKING IN BION: SOME RELATIONS AND EXPANSIONS
Main Article Content
Abstract
Bion's work marks psychoanalysis with an epistemological turn, from his investigation of thinking based on the set of processes observed in the functioning of the human mind, and analyzing this same process as the basis for formulating psychoanalytic theorization. In this investigation, he observes that projection phenomena, such as Projective Identification, are not only the basis of thinking, but also the primitive form of thinking and communication. The projective theory of consciousness, in its concept of extended domain, explores conscious phenomena in relation to the different points of view of reality, subjectively experienced, and the mental perception of objects in their concrete space. Starting from its invitation to relations and reflections with other areas of knowledge about consciousness, the present work proposes approaching both theories and exploring their bases.
